Also if you keep your character intoxicated, you will get nice med gains because each hicup will lower your mana so you can stay in a constant state of meditation.

don't waste the points of getting GM magery... for 1 you have crappy int.... secondly what exactly are you casting? g heal, mini heal, buffs, debuffs.... that's about it.. oh and recall.. but regardless, 50 will give you enough to cast those.
