Re: How to get Resisting Spell from 85 to GM?

I have an idea that I want to experiment with soon. I would like to know your thoughts on it. It is similar to hiring mages to cast on you outside the guard zone, while you stand inside the zone and thus take one point of damage for each spell, with the exception of poison. Instead of doing it that ...

Re: Cloth/bandage stacking

Oh, well you see, the reason I thought it was a bug was because I played uosecondage a few months ago, but drifted away because of RL responsibilities. When I played then, stacks of cloth cut into stacks of bandaids. So I take the single bandaid from a stack of cloth must be a recent change?

Re: Tamer templates ?

What about peacemaking? Is it even useful/has it been fixed? Last time I checked, it was broken. People were saying that it would aoe peace everything, and only for a moment, in addition to making your pets wander off. I could definitely see how it could help with taming new pets, and keeping pets s...

Cloth/bandage stacking

Hi REPORTED ISSUE: Cutting a stack of cloth only gives one bandage at a time. ISSUE DETAILS: The cloth I was using was not purchased - I harvested the cotton from the moonglow field, and put it together in the west brit tailor. When I got my 3 bolts of cloth, I started cutting them up, and was puzzl...

Suggestion for houses

I apologize if this has been suggested already. The interior decor tool that allows you to move items up and down in your house -- my friends tell me that this was not present during this era. Would you consider adding it? I personally don't see how this could effect the game in any way other than a...

Re: Remove the self-res w/ stat loss option.

It's a pretty useful thing to have say someone killed you inside your house and he starts looting your house, you might want to use the instant res stat loss option to save your stuff from being looted. If its a problem that people are pressing the option accidentally maybe it should be in red lett...

Re: Remove the self-res w/ stat loss option.

This is true, it still happens. A friend of mine lost to a pk for his first time when he was a virtual 7x, and accidentally chose the res option. It's just not a good feeling, and there's no point in having it. Seriously, how often do people staffing the shard get tickets from people wondering if th...

Remove the self-res w/ stat loss option.

This literally serves no purpose. At the most, it pisses people off and they quit. I don't know anyone who has ever willingly chosen this option. it always occurs right after the heat of battle when people aren't really paying attention to what they're doing. I understand that you want this to be a ...

Acquiring newbied items

I've been trying to figure out what sort of blessed items can be acquired from skill selection on advanced character generations. If anyone knows of a list that already exists, could you post it? This is what I have so far. Ranger – boots skinning knife, long pants, fancy shirt Swordsman – long swor...

Re: Proposed changes to spellcasting on test center

So, does this mean if I'm sitting at the bank and some thief steals from me, I can just kill myself and give them a count? How often can I give the thief a count? Seriously, can I make a thief red in a little over 10 mins (2minCrimTimer x5) if he continues to steal from me after each rez? And if he...

Re: Proposed changes to spellcasting on test center

Do I really have to explain the difference between stealing ONE that weighs less than 10 stones, and killing someone outright to take EVERYTHING they have? The first is thieving, while the other is Pking? The difference between my thief and PK is that my thief fights people who CHOOSE to engage me....

Re: Proposed changes to spellcasting on test center

There is hardly anything worth stealing... The point is to drum up a fight so you can take it all. This is what UO is all about. Well we know that's not true, because if there's nothing worth stealing, then there's nothing worth killing for, unless you play your class purely for the sake of stealin...
