Re: Not supposed to gain from fails in T2A era
Also, Prima's guide doesn't mention anything about skill gain. If failures prevented skill gain, it would be mentionned for sure.

Re: Second Age & Simultaneous Account Login
Why not limit it to 2 accounts?
People in the same house could easily play and this would limit most of the multiclient problems.

Re: Server Save Message - Does this matter?
OSI servers saved throughout the day without giving any message. However, the server went down each day for offline maintenance (and probably backups). This is the only time you had the system going down message. I remember that when you received this message, people would go crazy and attacked each...

Re: Eliminate ghost cams
Unattended resource gathering isn't allowed anyway :D. Wouldn't Macro mining on 3 accounts fall into this rule? I've seen quite a lot of ghost scouts back in the days. Just for the roleplay side I would allow ghost "cams". What if I want to play as a ghost and my psychic friend u...

Re: Wrestling vs Parry - which mitigates the most damage?
The T2A formula for parry goes like this: The chance to block is half of the defender's Parrying skill. This means that if you have 100 in Parrying, you have a 50% chance of blocking the attack. If you have 100 in your weapon skill, you have a 50% chance of getting hit by someone that also has 100 i...

It wouldn't be era accurate indeed.

Hmmm. I guess "someone" is going to have to try this.Duke Jones wrote:Hypothetically, let's say someone did this same thing to block the west brit bridge? Would that warrant a need to address this? If so, why? And could this also be applied to player housing?

Of course, if everyone thinks like you do, there's won't be any more PVP and just more whining.jcalvert86 wrote:
And to the moron above mentioning joining an O/C guild if we want PvP -- you must not be a PvP'er here.
Hemperor, I had 6 accounts back in the day and was farming everywhere.

Re: Multiclienting Compromise?
This whole "murderers should pay for their sins" is just crap. Why should I not be able to play UO for 2 weeks because I have to PK in order to find PvP? Because that's how OSI wanted it. If they didn't want that, why would they implement the statloss/murdercount thing? It was implemented...

Re: Multiclienting Compromise?
Computers from 10 years ago couldn't run 2 clients and be fast enough to enjoy playing. One would have to get 2 or 3 different accounts with 2 or 3 dialup connections. Limiting to 2 at the same time but still have 3 accounts is fine. Spending time on getting rid of the kill counts is exactly what OS...
