Heh, that's not my point. I've already gotten over the initial hump, but had I been even slightly less motivated to play here, I would have said screw it and started on a server with more helpful players. I do not doubt that this is a common occurrence.

If you folks really want new players to stay, the key is to at least provide them with a modicum of support. I couldn't get anyone to give me 150 gold so I could learn healing and buy cloth.
