Re: YO DERRICK WIPE IT BRO!!!
Imagine if we lived on a shard where help stuck menu has never functioned as a travel stone. "... if we lived ..." hehe. I like the wording here. That's what UO is. On the topic, I'm all for the wipe, but only after accurate skill gain system takes its place on UOSA (advancement rates, gl...

In this vid Rich is so nice; Markee is an utter douchebag and deserves to be punched in the face.

Musashi's Guide to Writing UO Roleplaying Stories
As a part of my daily routine crawling old websites (I'm very nostalgic and can't help it), I came across this: http://web.archive.org/web/200009031424 ... howto.html
A fantastic read, all you UO writers should read this, I think Go check it out.

Re: Guide: Posting Screenshots on the forums
Thanks for your efforts, always a pleasure to read  But. You see the problem with all these 3rd party services is that they are not as reliable and you're always in danger that your pics can be lost - these services are free and dont guarantee anything to you. Perhaps we could persuade Derrick...

Re: Item Certificates
Actually, the idea were considering is using a journaling system much in the way that modern filesystems and InnoDB operate by allowing you to queue write transactions while keeping active memory current . In theory, you would never need to /experience/ another save. The need for maintenence (serve...

Re: Item Certificates
While we're on the subject, how did OSI do it? They never had to pause the game to save it. They only saved a few times a day, but the saves seem to have caught one instant in time. OSI saved world states once a day, just before "server wars". This is probably not the right topic, but wha...

Re: Mining seems wrong.
On OSI they broke after 51 ores, I even remember reading that on stratics. Also, this message from newsgroups ('99): https://groups.google.com/d/msg/rec.games.computer.ultima.online/YUPIhbBQrQ8/wpl9eAyx_twJ It's 51 ore. I always get 102 ingots from each shovel and it's cheaper to buy them from the t...

Re: AI Combat Issue:
The AI change to EVs was based on era accurate information in that regard. The EVs/BSs will occassionally not attack after done fighting but have seen them attack in some cases . This particular change a year or so ago was based on the special AI script from the demo giving them that function. Howe...

Ah yes, you could place addons on a boat that was nearby a house you stood in, right? I vaguely remember something like this.

Re: AI Combat Issue:
Also, I've noticed something: EV only attack a monster it was summoned close to. After it's dead, it does absolutely nothing, but wander. I think it should attack other monsters in the area as well? I haven't been barding for almost a year and I don't remember this being the case - EVs switched thei...
