Hiding takes a while, and proximity to people can make it gain a bit faster.

Is stealth supposed to gain faster than hiding? I have been stuck at 88.5 Hiding for hours now and Stealth is soon catching up at 84.5. Stealth is gaining steadily and quite fast actually at 8 AR.

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
