Even with all my years of experience, there are alot of things in your list of tips I had no idea about. Fantastic list. Thank you for posting those! Guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks :)

This guide owns. I'm not a new player, but there's so much covered here that I wasn't aware of...maybe aware of some of the mechanics - but not of how to use them to my advantage. That table-dropping macro is ridiculous/awesome. :D

Of course everyone knows about using barrier objects in front of doors (with magic trap casted on the doors) or passage ways, on/around frequented gate/recall spots, or setting them as a blockade as long as you cycle them out so they won't decay.

Could even use them around your bard with no wrestling when you are waiting out the kills leaving a suitable exit open and at least a little wiggle room.

I don't think they were that good, actually, but here goes:

SHIFT-ALT-Z: turn on/off hotkeys (they need to be off to talk)

1 - Recall
ALT-1 - Teleport
2 - Razor hotkey for mini-heal or cure & target self
3 - Razor hotkey for mini-heal or greater heal & target self
4 - Greater Heal
5 - Paralyze
6 - Explosion
7 - Ebolt
8 - Poison, Wait for Target, Last Target

F2 - Orange Potion
ALT-F2 - Blue potion
F3 - Yellow Potion
ALT-F3 - White potion (DANGER - I often hit ALT-F2, ALT-F3, and then meant to hit F4 to get stamina up to full after the blue potion... but sometimes I breezed through and hit ALT-F4 and closed UO entirely. Not good)
F4 - Red potion
F6 - Purple potion
F11 - Meditation skill
F12 - Hiding skill

~ - Bandage Self
ALT-~ Use Bandage

ALT-Z - Use Blue Moongate macro
ALT-C - Set Last Target
ALT-X - Use Last Object
ALT-Q - Harm

Straight-up letter hotkeys:
Q - Harm, wait for target, Last Target
R - Toggle Reflect Item (via Arm/Dress)
T - Next Humanoid Target
A - Attack Last Target
S - Synchronize Client
Y - Weaken, wait for target, Last Target
U - Use Once
I - Toggle Invisibility item (via Arm/Dress)
D - Toggle main weapon (say, Kryss) via the Arm/Dress functionality
F - Toggle alternate weapon (say, War Fork) via Arm/Dress
G - Toggle tertiary weapon (say, Lightning Staff) via Arm/Dress
H - table/footstool macro
B - Earthquake macro

Ideally though, if I was doing it over again I'd use less F-keys and less numbers, and keep everything based on having my thumb on the left ALT key, so I have an "anchor". I can easily reach from there over to the R-F-V diagonal, so that's 12 hotkeys for each letter plus 12 more for the ALT+letter.

Ha I do that to it rocks, down is closet red? I set down as target self, and clicking it is next target.

Thanx Mikel im trying to create like the perfect hotkeys and maybe post them on the forum, I know it sucks to redesign a hotkey layout especially when theres so much to hotkey, so i figure maybe it will help out some new players who want to save time. Right now I've got them set up really good and it feels very easy to perform what I need to execute, but they could probably be better!

I also use mouse wheel for target nearest (blue up and murderer down). It works great.

And the tip on tracking is so true. As a solo pk you can get rich with it.

I won't tell you my whole set up but I try to link things together like

f5-harm
f6-explosion
f7- ebolt
f8- last target

cntrl z-disarm/rearm left
cntrl-x-disarm/rearm right
cntrl-c attack last

I also have targets for closest reds(Q),greys(W), and enemies(E)-Innocents if you are red and don't participate in events.
G-Heal(A),Heal(S),and Cure(D) all set up by my arm disarm buttons using the control key.

I set different profiles however for different playstyles. Besides the heals and cures, I removed the targeting on my offensive spells as timing is everything and I don't want it auto in case I want to keep them as a precast, it's easy to spam without it if you really have to.

Anytime I heal, cure or target anything other then my enemy I make sure to target closest whatever to make sure I or my allies are not last target

Mouse wheel down for clear target queue. Nothing is more annoying/noobish than casting ebolt on yourself, or gheal on your enemy.
