Communication Crystals

When communication crystals are set into a locked down or secure container, they stop saying "Taboo says blah blah blah", and they start saying "Crystal: Taboo says blah blah blah". In the journal it says "a corpse of LYNDEE: Crystal: Taboo says blah blah blah" or "a metal chest recovered from a shipwreck: Crystal: Taboo says blah blah blah".

Could this just be simplified to say what it would if it was on the ground?

It would save alotttttt of text and confusion.
