Who owns all the houses?

I was running around and saw there are SO many houses still placed. Castles, keeps, towers, smalls, everything. But it's pretty much all abandoned.

In all the prime real estate areas, just filled with dead small houses.

Who owns all this stuff? Why don't they IDOC?

Houses were a big reason why UO was so cool and so a bunch of people (including me) own all the houses we always wanted. Also, keeping 15 houses freshed is only slightly harder than keeping one.

I keep freshing my shit because I still like to log in and do shit every once in a while, and I am not interested in starting from scratch each time.

I know of at least one spot that will hold a 2 story in a great location if your interested. There is a thread of mine about
anyone looking for a larger house spot, but only got a couple pm's.

yea its just a bit weird cuz they aren't even decorated. they are just placed. uninhabited. makes it feel super desolate out there

like "i am legend".

Keep in mind it took me all of 2 hours online to find 2 tower spots last week. Even with the house litter, it's a great time to get a tower for deed cost and a little exploration.

One spot was Bloody Plains. On the southern edge. One spot was a quiet little
penisula in the Northern Territories a bit east of Yew.

I own a house a couple screens over from Yew bank.

I've owned it for awhile now but haven't played UOSA for a long long time but i still log in to refresh it.

Nobody does TBH, maybe 10% are actually lived in and used and the rest perma refreshed by the owner or friends

On one hand it drives me crazy when people have multiple big ass houses hogging all the land.

On the other hand, it wasn't easy to place a big house back in the day and there's endless spots for smaller houses easily enough.

On yet another hand, I'd still like to see some of the empty region encompassing monstrous castles and keeps disbanded or something or other for some variety but it is what it is. I've only got a large brick house now (about to tower it up) but if someone told me I had to move/remove it I'd be pretty against it too so I can understand why it'll never happen.
