Questions to be back in track

Hello ladies and gentlemen!
I have just registered and started to play on your Shard. Want to say that I am very happy to find a proper UO Classic shard still online in 2018 :)

I am a veteran in UO, started to play it in 2001, played for few years and than forgot about it, now starting again.

I have few questions to ask, maby it will make my life easier on your server:

1. I see around 100 players online, but Britania looks empty. Where is that place where all the people are? I mean most popular place where everyone hangs out?

2. Are there any portals to Desert, Moonglow etc?

3. Does this shard has + items? Like Weapons/Armor of Power, Force, Vanquishing etc?

4. If it has these + Items, which creatures has them as loot? and can they be sold to an NPC for a lot of gold?

5. Is there a "Market" with private vendors?

6. How can I get a rune book?

I think that will be it for now. I hope someone will answer me :)

P.S.

A small suggestion to Owners: Make a WORLD SAVE, before the server restarts.

Welcome to UOSA! Glad to have you with us.

1. Britain at times, but most people have been at the Cranky Christmas event lately. (there is a portal at west Britain bank/guard shack building)
2. There are standard portals/moongates that go to most cities located in the normal places as you remember.
3. Classic Armor/Wep magics are present here Ruin/Might/Force/Power/Vanquishing and Defense/Guarding/Hardening/Fortification/Invulnerability.
4. terathan warriors have good drop rates, but can get magic items from any mob as a chance.
5. Most Player run vendors are located around Yew Moongate or Yew Bank.
6. Runebooks can be bought from other players or player vendors (note: they are not blessed here so don't keep them on you unless you have a backup)
7. There is a world save before server down. It announces it in the last 2 minutes before the last save.

Thank you for your reply.

So where are terathan warriors located?

And will I be able to sell these + items to Vendors for a high amount of gold?

Terathan Warriors are in the Lost Lands.

There's probably a better map out there, but this is the gist.

EDIT: Here's a better one

Ok Thx.

The more I play the more I am shocked, it doesnt looks like the old classic UO.

I am trying to sell 300 balls of yarn to an NPC, 1st thing that i dont understand why its even on the shard, that I can sell only 5 items at a time!

well, ok, I can live with that, BUT, every 2-3 sales that I make, the price drops by 1gp!!! wtf?

What is the point of that?

I just want to make some money, but these strange restrictions... who needs them?

Is there another way I can sell it normaly?

All of the NPCs work that way. I can't remember if that was era accurate, or a response to some behavior here to be honest.

If you have large bulk quantities of things that people might use for crafting (e.g. cloth, ingots, etc...) there's almost always a market for selling that stuff to other players.

Welcome to classic UO :)

This is how it was in 1998, and that is why we have it here. Wait until you start cutting bandages .. one by one. A majority of the shard's features and mechanics have been researched thoroughly using patch notes and usergroup data from archives dating back to the late 1990s alongside with data taken from the official T2A demo CD.

It can be tough to adapt, but our goal as a shard has been, and still is, to offer the most authentic classic UO experience.

Don't sell them balls of yarn, turn them into bolts and sell them to me :)

The "ROI" on doing as Grofus says is way better than selling the smaller components piece by piece to the NPCs.
