The Q&A with Lord British and Lord Blackthorn, who hence forth will be known as Darkstarr, had ended with as a resounding success. Our Lords had addressed their people and it was now time to assault Deceit. Lord British requested a moment to rally his order guard and promised that on his return they would make for Deceit.
Lord British returned with the determination of a nation on his shoulders. He addressed the volunteers still located in the throne room and asked them to accompany him to Deceit to join in his victory. The party left his castle and headed for the "West Bank Guard Post" where the Mage's Guild had opened a permanent gate to Deceit. Once the group entered Deceit it was abundantly clear that lives would be lost during the endeavor. They met with a force unseen since Mondain heralded the First Age of Darkness in Sosaria.
We received eye witness testimony of some of the action. The accounts of these witnesses painted a picture of Order and Chaos. The volunteers at the front were systematically engaging gem encrusted monsters with Lord British, while the back of the group was under attack from opportunistic chaotic murders.
At last, there was but one gem encrusted monster left. As the last monster, a gem encrusted balron, fell a new enemy approached. The Murderous Lord Lutsyn appeared, full of confidence and boasting of his strength, summoning what seemed like an endless supply of his gem encrusted creations. With the help of a king, man and women, beast, and summon the group was able to whittle away at his immense strength.
With but a sliver of life left Lord Lutsyn uttered the words of power Kal Ort Por, yet he was still there! What was his plan? Was he attempting to escape? Onward the group surged, spells soared and weapons whizzed, dealing as much damage as possible in an attempt to block Lord Lutsyn's Recall. Finally, for a brief moment witnesses reported seeing "a corpse of Lord Lutsyn". Before any of Lord British's Order Guards could perform forensic evaluation on the corpse it was gone! Where was the corpse? Some witnesses report having seen a group of people cutting up the corpse and carrying it off. Was this to have some sort of sick memento of the momentous occasion or was there an ulterior motive? Is Lord Lutsyn really gone or was this deception an attempt to pull the wool over eyes and allow the Evil Lord to continue his research while the kingdom thought him dead. Lord British was just happy to see an end to the infestation of Deceit. Pleased with the help his kingdom provided he thanked his loyal citizens for their assistance and returned to his throne room in Britain.Click here to discuss the Gems of Sosaria event.
