I can't believe how much fun this was! I wish I'd taken some screenies - had some epic moments. We really were on top of it, killing endless bone magi, liches, lich lords, even daemons, then those matriarchs showed up. I have never seen everyone react and run so quickly!

I gave up after the avengers showed up. Nothing I have comes even close to them. Just about to hit my first GM (swords), getting to within 0.2, and I can comfortably afford the ingots I need to kickstart my blacksmith.

Don't know where these things are coming from but keep 'em coming I say!

Big thanks once again.

A few pics of some creatures. No players around 'cause they all scurred to get into the mix. Too many cowards calling guards at the town line.

Lord British has been informed by his most trustworthy advisors about an impending attack. Rumors speak of a force of these gem encrusted creations preparing themselves to once again attack a cemetary in Britania. The rumors are vague regarding the size and strength of the force. They are clear about the forces determination to test new abilities and creations. Lord British's advisors have determined, based on the frequency that these rumors are surfacing, that the attack will happen sometime Saturday.

Ready your minds and blades.

This series of events has been a lot of fun. I managed to make it to three of them, and had a blast each time. Thanks!

While the previous encounters as far as I know have been near or inside towns they have remained quite peaceful - at least the previous one at Brit where I also joined - but the latest one was at Dagger Island and more notably in the dungeon Deceit wasn't.

There are two issues that let this one down:

First, random newbies have very little knowledge of the map let alone a rune to Dagger Island. I browsed a few public rune libraries and found one quite fast but still, it wasn't "easily accessible". I strongly suggest an "event gate" is opened at BB that allows people to find out and join any staff run event. If it was the whole intention to make it less accessable then all went according to plan I guess.

Second, as this event was on a stranded island and deep inside a dungeon it didn't take very long for pks to arrive. A fairly fun PvM event that worked for newbies (skeles and such) and deeper in the dungeon for more skilled players it ended up in a pk looting party and at least our group left quite fast, not all alive.

Let me underline that I love the thrill of running away from reds and it keeps the game more challenging and eventful but that it prevented many (new) players from attending a staff run event is something I wanted to point out.
