UPDATE: Minoc is safe,We have destroyed the invading forces!

While visiting the bank of Skara Brae, I heard an announcement from the news crier.




I decided I would attempt to seek out these pirate mercenaries and perhaps quell their plans of invasion. Alas, how foolish I was! I sailed right into their floating city. I was slaughtered by them almost instantly.



I returned to life, and got some revenge!



I estimate they have amassed over 250 pirates, and 50 ships. I call forth for everyone to sharpen your blades, repair your armor, gather potions and bandages, and come to defend Minoc from these murderous pirates!

The pirates are still in their ship city. The real threat is that the might attack Minoc tomorrow morning.

I realized my mistake of having turned on auto-death screenshots a little while into this event. It began where we were heavily outnumbered by the invaders, but eventually the shard's population rallied and came out in force! I hope you guys got some good screenshots, please add them as a reply to this post.

There were angry gypsies, miners, dire wolves, earth elementals, mage caster npc humans, and pirates. Most of the melee fighters would poison you upon attack. The archers were awful since they would shoot at me from afar. I had to work very careful to avoid being surrounded by the invaders, robbed by a thief, or murdered by a player killer. Every so often it would appear that the invaders forces were on the wain, and then another fresh wave would assail!

I personally had a blast, and I hope everyone else did too. Let's hope another town is invaded sometime soon!

Remember, this uprising occured because the gypsies and miners refused to bathe. Today, we bathed them in their own blood! Muhahaha!




I was fortunate enough to collect two trophies for my part of defending Minoc. Notice how one trophy omits 'A' at the beginning.



I thought this picture was neat as it has an unused tile icon in the corpse window.

I had a blast. Was lucky enough to get one trophy. I did notice the unused tiles on some corpses but could not be looted
