Twitch Streams!

Become familiar with the Twitch community! This is a huge video game community that is rapidly growing. I stream Secondage a few times a week and every time I do I get old UO players in asking me about what I'm doing.

Ultima Online is not currently very popular on twitch, but it at least serves as a reminder that this game still exists. The potential for exposing people to UOSA and our community here is high. Any type of stream helps, even if it's just to use the free recording that Twitch offers.

Anyone who is interested in starting a stream, post here and I will be happy to walk you though it. It is surprisingly simple to begin doing. Check out http://www.obsproject.com for the broadcasting software and head over to http://www.twitch.com to create an account/channel.

I'll consider setting up a stream. Are there specific dimensions like StarCraft for example where it only uses a quarter of your screen even though the display is full screen? Or should I just use the dimensions that I perceive?

OBS has a monitor capture function, use this and it wont leave anything out.

Make sure to check your upload speed and set your bitrate accordingly. Example, if you have 2.5 mbps upload speed, do not exceed 2500 bitrate. I wouldn't go past 4500 bitrate regardless of how fast your upload is.

Resolution plays a big role as well, if you are on a supreme 4k monitor, OBS will probably default to that, you will need to downscale your resolution. Try to stay in the 720-1080 range.

OBS will tell you if your settings are to high, if you get that warning tone the resolution/bitrate down until its satisfied.

I love watching the streams by Rose and Vega.
Just an idea, should we put a 24/7 stream of say, Britain Bank?
I saw this on another stream of a free shard and thought it was great (especially if u see lots of movement).
