Proposed changes to Tamed creatures

Post by Derrick »

We've put together a patch to correct the accuracy of tamed creatures. Many of these chages were presented in this thread. There is also a wealth of T2A creature information here

We will be putting up a test server so that players who are interested my log in and play around with the new systems. When the test server is up, I will post the info in this thread.

Changes:
  • Int and Magery increase for NightMare
  • Dragon magery reduced to era levels
  • White Wyrm can rummage
  • Drake tame skill req. increased
  • Drake can be angered on tame
  • Adds Mass Curse & MassDispel to higher lever casters
  • Enables highlevel casters to use MeteorStorm and Earthquake
  • Earthquake restricted to Nightmare only
  • Pets lose more loyalty on failed command
  • Adds Silver Steed
More mods added July 20, 11:20pm
  • Pretamed creatures will agro evil mobs and murderers
  • Pretamed creatures will be removed a little (25%) faster than they were previously
  • Added Dark Steed
  • Silver Steed stats increase
  • Efreet will now drop lvl 3 t-maps
  • White wyrms now have old look, with both body tones. (Tamers Forum)
More changes/additions July 21, 6pm.
  • Tamed creatures will be "Content" when first tamed.
  • Feeding increases loyalty every feed
  • Loyalty loss on failed command increased
  • Increased pet teleport radius when gating
  • Tamed creatures now susceptible to inadvertant moongate travel
  • Reduction of anger animations when a creature is angered from taming
  • Slightly increased tame time
  • Location based Stabling partially implemented. This will be completed before release.
More changes/additions July 21, 10:20pm.
  • Locational based stabling complete. Players will no longer have max they can stable, but each stable can only hold so many creatures total.

There is a test server up at:
Server: test.uosecondage.com
Port: 2593

The test server will let you set your skills. Just say "Help" for info on how to do that. If you create a new character you'll get your bank filled with resources.

Please provide feedback on your experiances here. Thanks.

Silver steeds health seems to be low in comparison to nightmares- and on the stratics page it says their skills/stats are same, but tha SS's couldn't cast above circle 4?

The implementation and timing of these changes will be dependant on the feedback provided by players. I hope to implement changes this week.

Thanks. You're right the stats do seem a little low.

All the proposed changes are in. This will be the last opportunity to test and give feedback/present objections before the system goes live.

Aye. The 96 on the guide for Drakes is a rounded estimate of total skill, and I believe the 95.1 is base skill.
