Agree with Applejack. I think it's $70, which is a lot, but you can save money on getting the pictures done by taking a pic of yourself with a digital camera against a white background, and then using CVS' photo printing service. I think it cost me $1.50 to have them print my self-picture on photo paper.

They last 10 years for you US folks, if you're over 18. And beyond the ability to travel, I find them to be incredibly useful for things that require multiple pain-in-the-ass types of identification.

I believe most border states offer enhanced licenses that are pretty cheap and get you right across the border. I actually have both that and a passport in case I impulsively head over to the great white north for dinner.

cedar point is pretty legit. if you go on the wrong day tho (holidays, summer weekends) have fun waiting 3 hours for a 45 second ride
