Not true... I'm not in CN and I've noticed a performance boost. My ping is slightly higher, but no more spikes. That was the major concern anyway.

Correlation does not imply causation.

The placebo effect is strong in this one.

It is completely possible for me and other to have lag free game play now on the new server. I think your ISP is your problem. You may want to call them and find out the issue.

I get a lot of lag spikes and have to re-synch a lot.......worse for me on the new server than the old one.

Tell me how many hops you have from your computer to the new server. Go into Start > Run. Type in CMD and click ok. Now type in tracert uosecondage.com. Each entry you see is a hop.

That's not entirely true. While the latency and packet loss problem have decreased for the majority of the players, there are a handful that have had significantly increased latency. For some it's just been coincidental with the move and local problem on there end, but many of our AU players are seeing increased ping times.

Overall, I believe the move accomplished a much more reliable connection for most users, but sadly not everyone.

How do you see your ping?

also on the same subject. can someone please tell me what "client syncronization" does?

Thanks,

Thanks,
To see your ping in-game, type: -ping
this is a razor feature.
You can also, ping the shard from the command line:
ping uosecondage.com

Client Synchronization simply requests from the shard your current location and updates that within client, likely causing your character to move a tile or two if you were out of synch.
