The size of our datafiles are ten times what they were a year ago, and will only increase, but part of the save time is due to disk write speed, which are hard to get to go much faster. There may be some further optimizations we can do in code to reduce save times as well.

Working diligently on it.
I haven't had time to keep up much with forums in the last day or so, as I'm full throttle on getting this move done.
The forums may be moving sometime tonight or tommorrow morning.

The new shard is up, in test mode, at new.uosecondage.com if anyone is interested in checking their new ping.

Just about everything else is on hold until this move is complete.

Was really hoping for a west coast server :/

I would be getting about 30 - 50ms to either of the latter two.

Currently getting about 110-160ms for the former.

Thanks for the server though, I'll keep crossing my fingers for a player run west coast server someday!

The last server we had I had a nice variety of pings...anything ranging from 90 to 190 depending on the day :) now its consistent at least...unfortunately its consistently about 200, guess I cant complain too much, its free and the server/shard itself is amazing! thanks derrick...maybe westcoast texas or something next time :)

I am forced to agree, I love this server - it's perfect!; I just wish it was a little closer to home.

Hopefully the owners don't take it the wrong way if I ask, but could anyone PM me if they know of a west coast player run server?

I almost crapped my pants when I saw at the beginning of the thread people posting about better latencies on the west side, but then it polarized when East Coasters got a hold of it. Oh well though, it's still the best player run server I've ever played.

This is a great server but i think i will be quiting soon. Along with some other friends who are located on the westcoast. We are all running on high quality cable connections, but the lag in pvp is unreal and unbearable. My average ping is usually 140-220. I dont see why the server is not located in central USA so people from california to new york all have similar ping and atleast a playable ping of 60-90 or so.

Bah! Start complaining when you're playing from another continent and the game makes your 100mbit/s connection look slow...
