Silver Serpents Dropping Silver?

I've killed a lot of silver serpents in my life, as my first 6 months on this shard I lived in a brick on Isle of the Avatar. This is the first time I've seen a silver serpent drop a piece of silver, and it was on Temple Island while doing t-maps. Can anyone explain?

Sweet! Maybe the GMs are trying something out new. Bad for anyone that lives on the isle though cause traffic is going to pick up heavily if this is true.

IMO, I would say SCAM!! I might say he planted that silver coin in the corpse. Yet another ploy to scam Britannians out of their loot (regs, mounts, gold). You will probably be kicking yourself in the ass saying "I fell for his BS again" LoL He owns a house there to watch people recall in and then he will have his mark.

Can someone verify this claim..
If I am wrong I stand corrected.

Only way to find out either way is to pop in and start killing SSs. See if you either get a drop or if you get attacked. Prove your own point instead of waiting for the public to do it for ya!

I think it's fair to ask ourselves what the motivation of an individual who found silver on any MOB would be to publicly announce it on the forums…

I, for one, don't quite buy the "someone explain this to me" motive apparent in this OP. YMMV.
