ok I've been dealing with this for sometime now. I turn down the music volume in game to 0 so i dont have to listen to it. But it seems to effect the sound levels of the rest of my computer. (IE. things like Mumble chat, youtube etc.) Basically if i turn down the music volume, I can't hear any other programs/websites. This is on a gateway laptop from 2005 mind you, so it might just be a hardware issue. I was able to order a new laptop this past week, and should have it when I get home from working the oil fields. This may open a whole new can of worms, since its a windows 7 home professional machine. Only time will tell.

p.s. ive also tried to check and uncheck the button for the sound levels in game with no helpful results.
