PapuanTales - Taming the Kraken

Post by Jupiter »

Come gather round
children of Papua
and hear tale of Hiccup Horrendous

He grew up a lad,
right here in this village

Many 'oft said, of the small Papuan sprout,
his thoughts are all folly, surely a dreamer

He did not see things in black and white
he only saw things as he dreamed they should be

Not so long ago he had dreams like you do
now he lives in them, just as you could
The Glorious Lord Tamer
who tried taming the Kraken

- A children's poem from Jupiter during his visit to Papua in the 3rd age of ages

It's where I said it would be. They were who we thought they were!

You pirates listen as well as you read! hah!

"...he only saw things as he dreamed they should be"

if that doesn't satisfy your curious mind, then you'll have to check with the Supreme Creator.

I'm a "A picture is worth a thousand words" type of pirate.

Touche.

Well perhaps PoD did such a good job back in the day that even the mighty kraken scared into being a land lubber

You are 100% correct. PoD was first to find and kill the kraken on the server. I think it was Rose, Scurvy, Bloth, Arsen, my wife, and my self. Maybe Kevin was with us as well. Its been so long.

How recently have you started seeing posts by Jupiter? It's not much older than I am in UOSA years (like 1 1/2)

So... yeah... there you have it. But the poem was epic wasn't it?

I wonder if I might have actually just slain the last Kraken with this post. If so, I apologize to the adventurers who will never see one.

Maybe we can make an screen shot to put in the UOH Museum of History?
