Lord British art inaccuracy.

Post by Deano »

I've noticed Lord British's head is a bit off. I haven't got a screen shot of him in-game but I have a picture from years ago when Garriott was online himself.

You can see the crown which the current Lord British on the server is missing. Same with the slightly off hair colour.

On an additional note, great to see him in-game! I can't remember if he was ever in the throne room like that during the old days but it's a nice feature. Adds some life to the server knowing that characters that DO sometimes run around the game world, are still alive in their homes/bases afterwards.

Maybe we could have Blackthorn in his castle or even Dupre somewhere in Trinsic with all the paladins?

It'd be awesome to see Dupre/Lord Blackthorne.

You couldn't see Lord British's hair because the Lord British suit was placed onto an NPC that had hair. That overrides the image of the suit. Problem has been resolved.

How is that Garriot himself?

Lord British was modeled after Richard Garriot.

And played (99% of the time) by Richard Garriott. British is the name he uses for his character in his games. On this server, it's Lord British "AFK".

He kept in touch with his players quite well. Setting up player towns/cities, organising events, or just socialising.

He even did it in Tabula Rasa.

That's why I said "99% of the time". There were times Lord British was logged on at his behalf.
