Yesterday I shot a dog with one bolt and killed it. The bolt that hit the dog then ended up on the ground. I would think that arrows and bolts that hit cannot show up on the ground like some missed shots do.
Not sure if this happends with arrows, but it happened several times to me yesterday with bolts.
