Removed from Boat

This was odd... I was fishing while logged in on my laptop. I decided to move to the desktop so I stopped my fishing macro, hid my character on the boat but left the boat moving ('slow back'), I forgot to give the command to stop the boat before logging - that was unintentional but a condition nonetheless. I logged into the same account via my desktop and the toon was no longer on the boat - the toon was standing invisible on the north coast near the Humility shrine with his pack full of the items he had previously (fish, tmaps, etc).

He did not have the key on him when I logged, the key is kept at the house for my main to recall in to retrieve maps/mibs. So, I log on with my main and recall to the boat and it is floating along 'slow back' style with no one on it.

So, what says UOSA... Is this a bug? Logged out while in the boat ~131*13'N/176*21W and logged in standing at 180*0'S/159*41W.

Not a bug, that's the intended mechanic actually.
