can you sell a house deed back to a vendor?

can you sell a house deed back to an npc vendor and get the same amount back?
i tried vendor sell and the npc said i have nothing of interest.

Yes just walk in any carpenter shop and an npc will say something like if you have a deed you wish to appraise simply hand it to me. Just hand the deed to that npc and all the gold will be transferred to your bank.
