Parry Question

Post by RumDragon »

Ok so I have a question. Does parry help when using a two handed weapon? I never gain parry when using my spear so I was just curious if it was a shield only type thing. Thanks.

Parry will only gain/work when you have a shield equipped.

One of the trade-offs to the armor gain/block chance is that you cannot use a 2h weapon.

This confuses me. What good then is the protection spell or protection charges? They raise parry for what purpose?

As I understand it, Protection Enchantment will raise AR. It will reduce the damage you take regardless of shield or not.

that makes sense. I was probably getting the clothing charges confused. The jewelry/clothes of protection increase your parry, while the spell probably just increases your armor.

Thanks Pirul!

Protection charged items will also increase your AR by 10 pts. I do find it odd however that it'd increase your parry too.
