Newbie items disappearing

I recently died in Britain and my newbie shirt was not found in my backpack after I rezzed.

Most probable answer is this: If you put any newbie item inside of another container that is in your top-level backpack, then you will lose that newbie item when you die (it will remain in that container).

Other possibilities: You were dragging it when you died (it falls on the ground) or while you were being killed, it was actually destroyed by your attacker.

Since I was wearing it when I was killed I would have to say it was destroyed. I didn't know blessed items could be destroyed. Thanks
