Lesser Magic Items and Price Guaging

Post by YurdltheTurtle »

I was wondering if I should even bother trying to sell some of the lesser magic weapons and armor like a Waraxe of Might (+3 Dmg) or Ringmail Sleeves of Fortification?

I often seem to come across these items that appear to be vendor trash.

In other words: Would there be a market for something like an "indestructible dagger"?

If so, what is the usual price range for magic items?

I would suggest you smelt them, or sell them to an npc ect..

The only thing that would reasonably sell is..
Silver anything, Force or higher, Might with at least +15 tactics, or weapons with charges or ghouls-touch,lightening ect. Fortification+ Armor, and magic jewelry are debatable. I personally toss anything thats not fortification, and I only keep reflect/Invis/Teleport/Protection items. Not that anything else couldnt sell, it's just that it would be sitting on a vendor for a while from my experience.

edit: I actually only keep the power+ or force with at least +15 on my vendor.

The stuff that you don't keep and want to sell to an NPC, make sure you ID that with the char you wish to sell it on. It'll yield more money than just selling it un-IDd. I regularly make around 150gold on useless boots, and 400gold+ on useless armor.
