New old player, starting character question/advice

Post by songbird »

Hello all :) I played many years ago on the shard Lake Superior. My favorite thing to do was fishing and hunting dragons on my tamer.

I was thinking of making a dex bard to start out, and was wondering if that's viable here. The skills I had in mind were:

Resist
Musicianship
Peacemaking
Fencing
Tactics
Anatomy
Healing

Would that setup be decent? Does peacemaking work well here? My idea was to be able to train up to 7x by killing mobs that I peace. I had one of these on live and was able to kill dragons/wyverns with a decent amount of success. Basically, I need a way to make money before I can fund a mage/tamer character and this seemed like a great way to do so (on paper).

Thanks in advance!

Peace does not work at all here...however, provo is the tits.

A Mage-Bard is a money machine, and will allow you to hunt the highest end creatures in the game.

My starting character was a bard mage.

Music
Provo
Wrestling
Eval Int
Magery
Meditation
Resist

Great money maker. I would suggest this over the Peace/Dexxer.

I started out with plans to be an archer/provo. I switched to the typical mage/provo bard and have not regretted it. Play however you like though and enjoy the shard. Feel free to send me a message if you need any help.
