What is the decay timer on boats?

Due to having seen some questions recently about boats, and being that I do a fair amount of boating on UOSA, I've been thinking about putting together a boating guide to compile the known information and other valuable information/elaboration IMO that is missing from the various guides and wiki pages. The one question I'm having is the decay timer on boats.

Here, http://wiki.uosecondage.com/Ships, it says 14 days. And there are various posts in the forums that say 14.

Here, viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3016, and here, http://wiki.uosecondage.com/index.php?t ... _%26_Usage, it says 10 days. And there are various posts in the forums that say "I think it is less than 14 days".

Can anyone confirm which is correct? Seems to me it is not 14, and probably closer to 10, but I haven't actually tested it. If anyone knows, the info would be much appreciated.
