If I want to keep npcs in my house so that it isnt lonely and sad when I go there to live how long do they stay for? Can I pay them like 10,000gp and they will be my roomate for a month?
Same with animals. If I want to have a pet dog or cat, how long will it stay in my house for before it goes away? If I re-tame it every day or something will that work?

You must interact with them at least once every 20hrs or so. Don't think they make it a full day without interaction.

enticing works best but you can macro feeding or dropping gold on them every once in a long while
