How do you get gold off a vendor, safely?

He seems to just want to drop it on the floor... Any advice?

only request amounts your char can hold maybe 10-14k at a time

You should probably clear out your bank right? I thought they deposited it there, I never used a vendor myself.

They don't send it to the bank anymore.
Best bet is to either just get amounts you ca carry or open a gate to the bank and then grab your gold and bank it.

open gate to secure bank spot
50000
hover your mouse over where gold will drop and hold shift
pick up gold go thru gate
