On Saturday August 21st the Pirates of Darkwater will be hosting a series of PvP event's.
Ya'harr! Would ye be willing to test thy might at "The Barnacle Brawl"?
Ye best not be feint at heart as this is a high risk event that is open to all... including outlaw's and murderer's.
If ye has a taste for gambling, then tonight is your night...
The Pirates of Darkwater are offering secure player to player bet brokering as well as a house bookie who will offer standard bets for all matches.
Harr Harr, Take a look at the battle grounds. This be where all matches take place.

Yarr! and here is the Infamous PoD hangout spot, the Pirate Den.
It be where Entry Fee's are paid and bets are made.
Speak to Spacecat the bartender for a free Ale.

This bloody evening will be comprised of three main event's...
Ultima Classic - A 1v1 Tournament, Crafted Items and potions only, no Magics allowed. The entry fee for this event is 5,000 Gold.
The Barnacle Brawl - A Chaotic free for all, bring any items you wish to use. The entry fee for this event is 7,000 Gold.
Give em all ye got! - A 1v1 Tournament, no hold's barred, bring any and all items you wish to use. The entry fee for this event is 10,000 Gold.
An Intermission of 20 minutes will take place after each event, and 2-5 minutes between matches.
The Plunder....

There is only one winner per event, 100% of the Entry Fee's will be awarded to the winner of each event.
This is subject to change for future events.
Regulators....

Those who assist with defusing the threat of any Grief will be rewarded with Gold and praise. Furthermore PoD will hire bouncers for the evenings events at a flat rate. PM me or join the #POD channel in IRC to inquire about bouncing. Bouncers are still able to enter events.
The Referee....

A Referee will be present to ensure all event rules are enforced. It is the job of the referee to present an unbiased match format, start events, call match winners, make fair judgments and communicate with Bouncers/Regulators. If a rule is broken or a match interfered with the referee has the right to stop the fight and give both contenders full hps or disqualify a contender.
The Bookie....

The Bookie will act as the entry fee collector and award giver. Winners will collect their purse from The Bookie. The Bookie will handle all house bets and provide brokered private betting for players. Once the entry fee's have been collected, contenders signed up, and the ladder of matches established, The Bookie will open up for betting/brokering. House bets will be called out by the Bookie before the beginning of each match; note that payout odd's will be given. The Bookie has the right to decline or accept any house bet.
The Rules....
* All Entry Fee's are to be payed/collected to/from the Bartender of the PoD Bar.
* No Fighting is allowed in the bar, take it outside... we don't wanna have to ban anyone.
* Bouncers are permitted to fight in the bar.
* No disturbing/interfering with matches in progress.
* Clear the arena floor when the referee asks to.
* Spectators on the outer rim are permitted.
* Spectators are NOT permitted inside the roped arena area.
* Bouncers - No abusing of power, you will be fired and Bounced.
* No Giving Of Murder Counts In Matches/Events. Giving a Murder Count will result in forfeiture of the event.
* Murder Count discrepancies will require a screen shot of proof, so take a screen shot if you get counted.
* All Spells are allowed, but consider the consequences... Its not against the rules for spectators to murder count.
* Looting of contender corpses is not permitted to spectators, this is a bounce-able offense.
Looting....
Once a winner of an event is declared, all dead match contenders are permitted to enter the ring and loot whatever is left of their corpses.
Corpses can be looted at anytime by any living contenders during a live match/event.
To clarify, you must have competed or be involved in the current match to loot or be allowed back in for looting after death.
Spectators are not allowed in the ring and are not permitted to loot contender corpses.
Bouncers will be very tough on any spectator that attempts to loot a contender corpse.
1v1 Contenders are permitted to agree upon a no loot match in which the winner will not loot any of the losers items.
Note....
This is intended to be an on going weekly or bi-weekly event. Many other event formats will be presented in future Brawl Nights.
I stake my reputation and forums privilege on all entry fee's and brokered bets/house bets being handled appropriately.
We are open to player input on ideas regarding this event.
Have fun!
