UO Second Age

Today a colleague of mine named Pro proposed an idea to make rares fun again.
I pondered it and then decided that the best way to find out would be with a test.

We are going to release the locations and the times when these items can be found.
If excitement ensues we will continue to release more locations and times.

You will need to check back in with this thread often to stay up to date.

No doubt you will receive a lot of 'counter intelligence' and bogus information.

Its up to you who to believe.

Keep in mind the times are not 'static' that is they fluctuate. So we can not
give you 100% to the second when it will spawn but only a time frame in which to expect them to appear.

To begin We will chose these three items. They are all in dangerous yet easy to get to areas.



The whip - it will spawn directly ontop of the whip on the table.

This item will be spawning wednesday early afternoon EST.



The bloody bowl - spawns as shown, simply click and drag it into your backpack.

This item will be spawning friday afternoon.



The skull Candle -
Expect this item early in the AM in about 10 days.



If this turns out to be fun, we will provide more information and we will work harder
to ensure smaller more accurate time frames.

This is really cool that you are letting these go public. I hope many new players are able to enjoy this...i remember the first time i grabbed a spawning rare!!!!

So this is the rares business? Recalling from dungeon to dungeon attempting to drag random items to your pack, in hopes of success?

actually, righ tnow its a bunch of people sitting as ghosts at locations waiting for it to show up, then recall in and grab it
its pretty weak

that's unfortunate, should have seen it coming though

well the ghosts wont get the items

You can always tell when the large vase is about to spawn, because mikestamerdied, is hidden right on top of the spawn, I gotta make a toon and thorw largevase on scavenger so I can try to get it just like he does.
