PVP League - Season 2 ---Friday the 26th START --1v1 and 2v2

The first season was so successful that we are now setting up season 2. We had over 200 matches take place.
This season will once again pit our citizens agianst each other in an ongoing contest!
But, this season as promised will also feature a 2v2 catagory. We will also have new arena locations, new scoring system and a new default ruleset.
Season matches officially begin Friday June 26th @ 12:01 PM
all weeks are reset at this time.
Scores will be determined as follows. 3 points for a win, 2 pts for a tie and a single point for losing your match.
Combatants can decide their own rules before their particular match
if they cannot come to an agreement the default rules will apply to their match.
Rules must be explained to moderator before battle.
Battle begins on moderators call
Any character is welcome to join be it mage dexxer hybrid carpenter or fisherman.
You may enter more than one character into the league during a season to count towards your score, but each must pay entry fee seperately.
Points won by different characters of the same player will be scored only towards the one player. That is seperate charcters are not scored seperately.
There is no limit to how many times they can compete each week (unless you have fought all opponents in the league that week)
You can only face a certain opponent once per week
There will be a posted list of all contestants (and how to get in touch with them to organize a duel)
There is a 5k entry fee to register a player +5k for each additional character.
There is a second 5k entry fee for the elimination rounds if you qualify.
The gold is held and award at the championship
Any contestant may register at any time during the season
2v2 - these only apply to the 2v2 bracket
Matches will be scored via individual, not team.
As it will be difficult for players to always be on together we are going to allow for flexible teams.
That is your partners can change according to who is online at the time.
Point will be dstributed as - 3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, and 1 point for a loss.
Players will enter this bracket seperately from the 1v1 bracket.
You can compete in both.
Entry is 5k per character.
Points won by different characters of the same player will be scored only towards the one player. That is seperate characters are not scored seperately.
You may fight any PLAYER(opponent) twice per week. This exception is due to teams not being static. Certain players may need to ask other players who have already fought certain opponents to be their team member for the match.
You qualify for the playoffs based on your individual point total.
Once the playoff begins, once a player is elimanated they are out of the playoffs and cannot join another team that is short a player.
end of 2v2 only rules------------------------------------------
(I fully expect most teams to be a static 2 man team but this will not always be the case, this format should allow flexibility for those players)
The Top half of the contestants (pts) will make the elimanation round unless more than 3o contestants enter the season. Then there will be a cutoff of the top 16 competitors.
Elimination round format will follow later during the season.
Sanctioned duel areas are as follows - duels must take place in any of these 5 areas

There is no set schedule for your fights. They are done at the contestants convenience, no we will not be holding this event on a saturday instead, because it is not taking place during the week or on a weekend. It is up to the contestants to organize their own fight and then contact a moderator.
One of the best ways to organize fights is to join irc room #UOSAleague and idle in there for opponents. We will also be organizing scheduled times to group up and have fights so we can make sure everyone fights everyone as much as possible.
These default rules are ONLY IF the combatants cant agree to their own rules
1V1 default ruleset
No poison weps
No magic weps
No magic armour
No magic items
No mounts
No magic reflect
No precasting heal (cast heal/hit with weapon/then target yourself with heal)
No pets
No stealing
No leaving the duel area (even to restock)
Run out of equipment and lose - you lose
If a monster interfers tough bananas(modertor shoudl take care of any)
no looting
no hiding
If you lose connection and die you lose
no invis
no summons (ev,pets,deamons,air,water,fire,earth elemntals)
2V2 default ruleset
These default rules are ONLY IF the combatants cant agree to their own rules
No poison weps
No magic weps
No magic armour
No magic items
No pets
No leaving the duel area (even to restock)
Run out of equipment and lose - you lose
If a monster interfers tough bananas(modertor shoudl take care of any)
no looting
If you lose connection and die you lose
Moderation
There will be alist of moderators you can contact to moderate your fight. If you cannot find a moderator you can have your fight but if there is a conflict between the players it may be hard to resolve without that 3rd party and the fight may not be counted.
Due to difficulty organizing moderators and some people not being able to use/forums,posting videos and such can be difficult, so if both parties agree there is no need for video/mod, but the fight will not count if both parties do not agree in one way or another that it happened and that it was legit.
