We're still calling this patch 138 as the majority of these changes are related to the original patch. The following has become effective over the last few days:
  • Corrections to item drop and line of sight restrictions relating to cave entrances. Although verified in the Demo that you could not as of June '98 pass items in and out of caves (below ground to above ground), we believe this was fixed in era, and as such have adjusted our line of sight code to compensate for this.
  • Trees and other similar background objects will no longer block line of sight, this was never intentional, but was accidentally published. (Thanks marmalade)
  • Slight message fix for inaccessible items in houses, only Secures will say "That is secure." (Thanks Mikel123 and Sandro)
  • Bugfix in the ability to reach items, the code was sometimes not determining the players relative location correctly.
  • Spells cast on items no longer need to be "reachable", this was an error in the original implementation of reach.
  • Removed restriction on placing items on non-surface statics as verified via era and post era screenshots. This also resolves an issue with reaching items placed on the perimeters of Castles, Towers and Keeps. (Thanks Kelektra)
  • Fixed a problem with the date stamp on tournaments and other dates on myUOSA, all times were being reported as AM.

Thanks much to everyone who has participated in the reporting and testing of the recent LOS, Lift, Use and Drop changes. This has been a very major and quite intimidating overhaul to some of the RunUO core, and I am very confident that we have nailed most of it. There are a couple slight issues still on the table, but nothing as serious as what we've been through in the last two weeks.

The development process at Second Age is very dependant of player participation, reporting and testing and we could not possibly have ever done this without this incredibly competent and patient community. Thanks everyone; I am humbled daily by the care you all show for UOSA.
