Patch 73 - Nov 25, 2008

New in the last couple days:
  • Fixed hue and body type for Ancient Wyrm
  • Removed an inaccurate tip of the day
  • More info on what's allowed and not in Tourney join gump
  • IRC and World broadcast of tourney rules on open.
  • New IRC channel #secondageevents for play by play action during active events
  • Fix to prevent non participants from seeing deathmatch score when dying while event is running
New this morn:
  • Removes fame/karma splits for all aggressors when killing monsters
  • Say player vendors name to make him face owner
  • Correction to lockdowns and secures on Two Story Houses
  • Resmelting items to ingots now based on Mining skill (was Blacksmithy)

So only the "kill shot" player gets the fame/karma now?

They had the incorrect number of lock downs and/or secures.

My two storey still has the same number of secures/lockdowns.

I only implemented it, someone else pointed out the inaccuracy in a thread. I did have reports today of not receiving fame on a kill shot, if anyone else is noticing this please let me know.

If you're provoking, you'll have to land the killing blow; same for poisoned creatures.

No need to blame Derrick for implementing this. He strictly follows his guide lines on making this a t2a accurate shard. If anyone should take the blame for this it is I for finding the information in regard to this. Please direct your hate mail my way.

I'm sure bards not getting fame for provokills was a side effect of the change that stopped them getting counts for independent kills from creatures they'd provoked and left alive. Essentially it was the lesser of two evils, which was eventually corrected in itself.

If the change was patched in as a technical consequence of something else and then patched back to work as intended, is there really a case for keeping such a temporary affliction just because it happened to fall on the holy '99?
