Yes it did... in fact there was about half a second delay for EVERYTHING (it even had a name: dial-up)
Most people like us, or at least they like what we do. Regardless, we appreciate all our victims, and we hope that their encounter with us is a memorable one.

I played the every day through the whole era and you are wrong. Perhaps this was the case with vendors but not with opening the bank vault. Bank vault was ALWAYS instantaneous with zero delay.

There is presently a 1998 demo server up at test.uosecondage.com I encourage you to test the delays there.

I can't really say anything other than the demo bank opening is definitely faster than our current bank open. (I just logged into it to test)

Although I am not a fan of this patch from an ease-of-use standpoint, I'll accept it as era-accurate and learn to deal with it. UO isn't meant to be easy :) Interacting with vendors through walls and many tiles away definitely did not feel right. The length of the squelch seems to be excessively long I find, but I don't recall ever being squelched in era so I'm not sure what the length was like. I found that changing my macro from "vendor sell bank guards i wish to release this" to just "vendor sell" makes it pretty difficult for me to get squelched when selling items, so it really isn't too much of an issue.

Just like to note a 2nd person came on there and agreed fully with me.

There's definitely more of a delay on the demo server than how it was before anything was changed, but it seems about half of a delay than the current delay we have.

Part of the diffence may be related to the length on the network queue on Second Age maybe. On the demo server, you're the only player(s) on.

The delay is 1 tick, or 1/4 second. There is no shorter configurable time on either Second Age, or on OSI.

I do appreciate the feedback and testing.

why duplicate OSIs code meant to prop up thier shody servers
server you have must be 100x better than theirs, this change just seems silly

is the next era acurate step to recreate lag and reverts? :?

Hey Derrick is the delay in pet command supposed to be that way with the new patch?
Now when i command a pet to kill there is a 1 or 2 second delay before the target icon appear and sometime it doesn't appear at all.
(i don't use a razor macro i use the ingame macro with a single line command)

Any one else is having this issue?

Papua is totally messed up!

Can't bank from outside (era you definitely could) so need moar bankers.

The mage shop is broken. If you want to buy anything you have to teleport under the shop.

Broke broke broke!

A squelched character should have "(squelched)" next to its name, no?

If your 'friend' character owns their own house they cannot be a co-owner of any other, so are automatically down-graded to friend status in houses that they were co-owned to (whether by being on the same account or manually added).

It's been like that for a while, if that is the issue.
