Suggestion: Update Client Average?

Post by Karik Verlee »

Not a huge deal, nothing to do with era accuracy just something I'd like to see.

It seems the average is a few months old. I'd like to see a new just to know how many people are normally playing. On the weekend it seems like we have 600ish on.

If not thats not a big deal at all.

Be nice to see how many of the online users are unique IPs, as well as how many of them have actually moved off the same tile in the past hour.

Yeah it would, then we could see how many players are really playing. I currently have 3 characters up while im at work and sleeping to build skill since Im still a relative noob.

What is your point? I said it was accurate :P

Also, UOAssist did not allow you to multi-client in era.

UOAssist really didn't help that much with macroing like Razor does here.

You couldn't put if then else statements into your macros, which makes them so much more efficient AND stops them from failing.

Macroing 3 characters is not era accurate in the slightest, unless you were paying for 3 accounts, owned 3 computers (even multi UO + EZMacros would not be good with 3 clients open and having to tab between) and either 3 phone lines or Cable connection ><

/offtopic

And yeah, update the client average ;)

I also want to see a month to month graph of average clients. See if our population dropped or risen.

I just fixed the stats on the myUOSA page today, mostly due to the existence of this thread:
http://my.uosecondage.com/Status/Clients
http://my.uosecondage.com/Status/Skills

You can also see our very long term charts (almost up to two years now) on JoinUO:
http://joinuo.com/Stats.aspx?i=2

By averages, I expect you mean on the voting sites. I try to keep those projections on the low end as not to seem like I'm exaggerating if someone sees our current online count.

Our actual 24 hour around the clock average client count is right around 440 now. Our Peak (at 10pm EST) average is about 616.

You can see the unique IP's currently logged on, and the total unique IP's seen that day by typing !status in our IRC channel.

[14:08] <@Derrick[afk]> !status
[14:08] <@SecondAge> Server: RunUO 2.0 Creatures: 107964 Items: 4537468 Guilds: 870 Clients Online: 459 IP's: 280 (467 today)

Here's some more unique IP history which we record on the back end: (captured at server shutdown)

There are a few anomaly days in there because we had unexpected restarts in the middle of the day, but we get about 900-1000 different unique IP's logging into UOSA daily
