Commucation Crystals

I know when I played back in the day you could reload charges in the crystals with gems. A diamond gave you more charges than a ruby and so on. I have no idea where to research the era of this but know that u could. Now not many know of the crystals and how they work but they were a lot of fun to sit out. Any way you have any info on the crystals?

Crystals seem to work exactly as they should here. I forget how to recharge. I think I just dropped the gem on the crystal.

Tried to recharge a crystal and would not take the Gem. Maybe Derrick need to look at this a bug or maybe i am just doing it wrong.
