I guess this explains why repeatedly casting poison was the method to gain med rather than drunk-med:

You cannot be holding anything except a spellbook, nor be wearing metallic or bone armor to use it. You also cannot be drunk at the time.

so you shouldnt be able to med holding a runbook either right?

This patch note was before the release of runebooks, and you could meditate/cast spells on OSI with a runebook in hand

Going by the exact wording of the note we can see that it makes no mention whatsoever to the state "tipsy". In which i must suggest your point is null and void. As currently (as far as i am aware) you cannot meditate while drunk, but you can while tipsy.

I thought this was the case too but I don't use the drunk macro so I wasn't sure. Not sure if it's a bug or intended, that we can currently med while tipsy.

According to that page you should also be able to meditate in leather armor.....

You can med with leather armor on. It's just slower than without.
