I feel precasting is a tad incorrect, let me explain

The spell fizzles because you are trying to 'target' the spell while holding something. If you casted ebolt, equipped your hally and then hit last target it would also fizzle...

Hmm, that explains that, yea.
But I still remember spell fizzling because of equiping while casting on OSI.

I use to do this a lot. I use to pretend I was a newb but I had gm imagery. I use to fake it by casting recall and equip a weapon and tnen click the rune and fizzle. After I would lure them into my house and I would kill them. I did this often.
