I'm rather curious as to whether this has been implemented or not. It seems to be era accurate and I've seen talk of it here on the forums.

In the above link, Derrick talks about but everyone seems unsure if it was actually possible to make in our time period. In the first link, coal armor was theoretically able to be made as far back as 1997.
