For ideas on how to make Second Age a better shard. Can it get any better? Maybe.

Player Bar Count

Not sure how to research this one so here it goes.......

I would guess that 3rd party programs (razor) allows us to keep player bars on screen after they recall or move off screen but I am not sure. How do we figure out how many bars were allowed on screen at one time in era?

Player status bars graying out is a function of the client added in some time after the release of AoS. We've considered trying to get rid of these sticky bars, but doing so requires that we modify an older client to work with the newer protocols, or modify RunUO to be compatible with pre 4.0.x protocols. Neither is an easy fix for us to do at this time.

Being a former AI player you should know that sticky bars is a client feature... 5.0.1j was all the hype

In era... from memory the correct 'era' client was the client that still had the chest opening intro. Not sure which version or how many bars are allowed.

Yes! It was the client not razor dur. I knew I was wrong with that one. So I'm wondering....if in era you could sit at WBB and pull up 50 bars at once, should we have that option now?

It's difficult to say exactly how many status bars the client was supposed to handle at the time, but what we do know is that for memory considerations, clients such as our own 5.0.8.3 client limits the number of status bars to only 10 at any given time.

The main issue regarding client status bars is that all of that behavior is handled client side, which we don't have a lot of control over. That means that even if we find out that the client had a 15 or 1500 status bar limit, but that the bars themselves weren't sticky bars, we wouldn't be able to enforce that client behavior on players.
