Hello, I need help with IRC. It worked yesterday and the day before and so on and so forth. But today this showed up:
"[16:47:01] Running lightIRC 1.2.3 Build 101. Project home:
www.lightirc.com
[16:47:21] Flash policy problem. If you are the server owner, please read
http://redmine.lightirc.com/projects/li ... structions. You need to install a flash policy daemon at flash.wildirc.net (port 843)."
I don't understand. I tried closing the window and restarting the window, my computer. Nothing works! Please help.

Within the mIRC client, setup a new server to connect to (see screen shot a couple posts above), but instead of using the hostname for the "IRC Server" (irc.wildirc.net) use the IP Address.
From your computer open a command prompt (start button, type cmd in the search box). From the command prompt, type "ping irc.wildirc.net" and you should get a reply with an IP Address.
This resolved my recent issues with IRC.
Good luck!

when trying to chat or send a private message via irc do you have to add the <> to everything or if you want to set a message can you just type /msg name and have that work?
