Tailoring - Point by Point

Post by Rohegan »

You'll forgive this for looking like crap since I can't possibly get tabs to show up on the board. This was a really nice looking excel file.

The numbers on the left are the cloth/hides it took to get from "Start" to "End".

Yeah that's like saying 50-GM Magery is free if you gather the reagents.

And time spent gathering hides from animals still costs you time. And at 20k hides, that's a loong time.

Well, where did you get your money to pay for it all? That takes time too...

Gathering hides/wool/cotton is the easiest thing in the world. Log in every 20 mins to do it all over. In 1 day you will have all that you need + some.

Gatheing wool/cotton takes forever. I chopped boards to pay for hides, works out to be way faster, and easier.

Edit: 32k boards = enough cloth and hides to GM tailoring.

Not quite, See there are 6 different sheep pens, offering you aa cut every few hours. there is also like 5 - 6 different cotton feilds offering you cotton every 30 min.

To get down to it, Useing a bard to kill dragons will no only yeild enough CASH to trump lumberjacking, but it also yeilds 40 hides per kill. SO lets say u do not know where all the pens and feilds are, you can still buy cloth, and collect hides to be better off.

Some people just like cutting trees or hittiing a mt. We like you guys too! Good post!

im not getting gains anywhere CLOSE to these.

im at 59.8 real and 64.9 displayed and not getting more than a couple of 10ths per 1000 yards of cloth making robes.

*edit* this was when there was a bug in skill gain so all may be well.

I am at 75.7 real and 78.6 shown. I see you were making studded when you had 75.7 real. Did you have 100 dex because i have 100 int, 25 dex?

Edit: Tailoring is moslty dex based. I raised my dex back up to 60 and it put my at 79.8 tailoring.

Do Studded Gorgets no longer take you to GM tailoring? I seem to have hit a wall at 95.5 (94.7 real). Oh well, I will just move to sleeves.

Can anyone give me a hint as to how to make a tailoring macro work when I change sewing kits? For some reason the macro I have always starts failing when my kits wear out and I have to buy new ones. I have set it to 'type' but it doesn't seem to work.
