Macro to GM Wrestling (or other Melee skill) with NPC
Macro to GM Wrestling (or other Melee skill) with NPC
Does anyone have macro for doing this AFK?
Death smiles at us all, but all a man can do is smile back.
Re: Macro to GM Wrestling (or other Melee skill) with NPC
Step by step guide:
1. Hire a NPC, give it enough gold to smack on however long you want
2. Bring it home (although I have seen this being done in public, but for the purpose of not being killed, bring it to a home.
3. Trap it using tables/crates/whatever so it is stuck in 1 tile
4. Have it guard you by saying "<name> guard me"
5. NPC should flag as grey (or green if you are in a guild), move 1 tile away and hide
6. While hidden, attack the NPC
7. Now you can move toward the NPC and hit it with your weapon of choice, the hired NPC won't hit back
The macro you probably need is using bandages on the NPC so you don't kill it.
Also if training weapon skills you might want a macro that checks if your hand is empty (in case weapon breaks)
Hope that helps!

Re: Macro to GM Wrestling (or other Melee skill) with NPC
I've always heard that order/chaos guards are better for skill gain... Can anyone confirm this? I usually can GM a fighting skill from 0 while i sleep.
I know that they have a lot more hit points than hirelings... only problem is you have to take damage, so you must heal yourself and the NPC. If you are trying to make a separate healer this is actually a good thing, as I've gotten multiple characters to mid 80's healing doing this.
