Okay, this is my secret to raising resistance. I rouse the Lord of the Abyss and the other demons from the Hedge Maze tower...I run into the maze where they don't follow and I let them cast on me. When I get low on mana, or hit points, and my bandages aren't keeping up to the damage being dealt I go further into the maze and take a breather to heal, meditate, clean out the soilage in my loincloth whatever. I then grit my teeth and go back. Sometimes I get bored and start casting at them from the protection of the maze too to up my magery fame and karma. Of course that all uses alot of regs, so if you just want to heal and cast magic reflection that's fine.
You'll gain resist and save on regs if you do.

If you aren't in a hurry, just macro spam flamestrike on yourself. Took me about 40 hours and 8kish sulh/spider regs to GM resist from 90 just by casting on myself. No downtime if you macro it while you're at work, either. ;)
