A reminder - Thanks and we Appreciate it

Post by BloodyBandage »

Haven't played as much recently because of rl stuff (which ironically deals with virtual stuff) but it's always a fun experience. I know it's not easy to be the guy everyone goes to with their complaints (even if to make it a better shard). So thanks for stepping up and taking the brunt of peoples shit so we can all enjoy an oldschool shard. Granted it's not as cut and dry as "peoples shit" but to be the one person to have to deal with it takes a special person. The ability to not take things personally is admirable, something which others and myself (lol Hemp) could learn from. Thank you Derrick and staff. Now will more people go out and farm so I can PK you with Eggroll? ;) Fair fights need not apply hehe.

"The best of men is he who blushes when you praise him and remains silent when you defame him." Kahlil Gibran

Not so sure about the first part but the 2nd part of this quote is very true of this shard's staff.

I would like to note that criticism is healthy however and it is the people that point out things that help them get changed for the better in the long run, so Kudos to you as well. Just keep things in perspective...and VOTE

Thanks guys :)
Incredible group of players too. We try to do the right thing in regards to the shard, and I really belive that the players do to. The criticism is appreciated too, it's all constructive. With increased players comes increased ideas, problems and concerns which can be overwhelming for us, but in the end only makes the shard a much much better place.

Keep it up, no reason for this shard to slowdown anytime soon.

In the spirit of showing appreciation we should all donate and vote more. Speaking of which would it ever be possible to have a built in command that will launch a wesite with the vote links on it? I visit the site a lot on firefox and dont see a space between the icons on the main page so to open them all up it's a pain to tell which is a new list.

This shard is full of randomness.
You always seem to find people in the middle of nowhere doing weird things you wouldnt see otherwise (aka actually playing the game).
Other day I was macroing in the middle of nowhere (my house) and two pk's came and started camping my house and trying to eq me to death.
I haven't actually pvped in months, but I managed to log on my mage, and kill both of them 2 v 1. (One managed to G Heal me instead of cross healing the other)
It was quite exciting to achieve such a victory.

Even when Darkfall is out I can still see me playing this shard off and on.
Thanks a lot Derrick you really know how to run a shard unlike the <Edited>.

Thanks guys. It really is a diversity of players unlike I've seen since 1999.
