Archery and Z-axis?

Post by Roser »

Archery will not work from a tower roof, where as Magery will.

I put an archer on a tower roof "ledge" and attempted to shoot my other character from multiple angles. Although I can attack my target character, no arrow's will shoot.

This does not apply for patio fences. Everything there works ok.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about.

I also reversed the position's, archery can NOT shoot up where Magery can shoot down.

Spare the archer bot jokes... :D

Further testing showed that targeting though tower house floor's can only be done Downwards and not Upwards.

I can shoot arrows/cast spells at people standing on the tile below me, but cannot return fire to the tile above.

Weapons have a range that is valid in three dimensions, there would not be a difference in the Line of Sight between spells and weapons, I suspect this issue is range. Can you test again using a new bow (not crossbow)?

Same thing. It looks as though tower Z-axis is greater then archery range.
